About CEPH NEPAL
CEPH is a non–profit service-oriented organization (Registered in Katmandu Metropolitan Office, Nepal). We aim to promote health and well-being by building evidence aligned with the Nepal Health Policy and Sustainable Development Goals.
Three principles guide us: Attaining Optimal Health, and well-being is a Universal Human Right. ‘Disease is Socially created and the Biological expression of Social Relations’ (World Health Organization, the Commission on Social Determinants of the Health). Our team possess expertise in a range of scientific research (Systematic Reviews, Qualitative, Quantitative, Mixed-method studies and Action Research) and public health program management.

Mr. Padam Bahadur Chand
He is a Health Policy and System Expert with MBBS and MPH degrees. In his more than three decades of experience in the field, served as chief of the Program divisions (Health Department) and Policy Planning in the Ministry of Health and Population. Followed by being a consultant who worked in the World Health Organization (Nepal) and other International organizations on universal health coverage, health insurance, and re-structuring policy for federalism implementation. He has co-authored a number of publications in the field of LINK.
Mr. Swoyambhu Man Amatya
Holds a PhD degree in Economics and MSc in Agroforestry. He has about three decades of experience in the Forestry Sector. His expertise is particularly in designing, implementing, assessment of reforestation and fuel production, sustainable agro-forest management, and the agroforestry component of agriculture rehabilitation. He has many publications.
Ms. Anusuya Joshi
A keen Environmentalist with more than 15 years of experience in Environmental Management. She holds a Ph.D. degree from Australia. Presently, she is involved in the Environmental Assessment of the Renewable Energy sector and is a member of Transparency International Nepal. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she formulated Standard Operating procedures to ensure the physical and mental well-being of employees, workers, and the supply chain to avoid and minimize the spread of the disease. She provided guidance for Research on Climate Change Impact (please provide the appropriate term) and supported as a Lead consultant for environmental promotion projects and some of important publications.
Ms. Sumitra Devi Shrestha
Dedicated to promoting evidence-based public health practices. She holds a Ph.D. degree from Australia. She has more than a decade of experience in public health program management at the Ministry of Health and Population, Nepal. She has authored and co-authored scientific publications.
Ms. Rinku Lepcha
Ms Lepcha holds a Master’s degree in Rural Development and possesses a decade of experience in study/development projects, such as Access to Justice amongst Conflict-Affected Women, Psychosocial support for earthquake-affected communities, and the Micro-Credit Program. She also contributed as a Research Officer to the World Bank-supported project Status Assessment of Migrant Workers’ Children.
